KIRI ALA CURRY


INGREDIENTS

Kiriala tubers - 500 g
• Curry powder - 1 teaspoon
• Pandan and curry leaves
• Salt to taste
• Red onion - 07-08
• Cinnamon - A piece
• Mustard - 1/2 teaspoon
• Garlic -03-04 bulbs
• Pepper- 07-08 seeds
• Chili (Kochchi) - 07-08 pods
• Hand full of Coconut
• Coconut milk - 1/2 cups

 

Preparation

• Wash and cut Kiriala yams to small pieces
• Mix condiments, pandan and curry leaves, turmeric powder, red onions, cinnamon and salt with pieces of Kiriala tubers and boil with little amount of water
• Mustard, garlic, pepper, coconut are ground together to make a paste and mixed into the boiling tubers
• Add coconut milk and heat until it comes to a boil
