BOILED WEL ALA


INGREDIENTS

  • Welala tubers - 500 g
  • Small amount of salt

 

Preparation


I METHOD - • Clean and wash Welala tubers
• Cut into small pieces and steam

II METHOD - • Clean and wash Welala tubers
• Cut into small pieces
• Boil the tubers in a clay pot with salt

Steaming method:

• Take a clay pot and add water into it, place a cloth on the brim of the pot and tightly secure, subsequently boil the water
• Place the cleaned Welala tuber pieces on the cloth and cover with a clay pot
• Once fully steamed, the tubers can be served

Boiled Welala can be served with grated coconut , coconut sambol or (kochchi), onion with chili flake sambol
