BOILED NATTALA


INGREDIENTS

  • Nattala tubers - 500 g
  • Water
  • Small amount of salt
  • Grated coconut(from half of coconut)

 

Preparation


• Peel, clean and thoroughly wash Nattala tubers
• Cut into pieces
• Place wooden sticks at the bottom of the clay pot and lay banana leaves on top
• Place Nattala pieces on top of the banana leaves, add water and boil

(The villagers follow this strategy to avoid the high temperature generated due to nature of Nattala tubers which could crack the clay pot)
